About Laying Hen Pros
Complete support for laying poultry farmers: from flock administration to performance improvement
About Vincent Beijer
In 2020, I began weekly recording the flock administration for Happy Chicken. What started as a simple Excel-based log has, over the past five years, evolved into a practical and successful approach that fully relieves laying hen farmers of their data management burden. The goal is clear: translate data into actionable information, create structure, provide performance insights, and improve both the technical and financial results of your farm. And it works — more and more poultry farmers are now successfully adopting our method.
Before founding Laying Hen Pros, I worked at Shell for 28 years, where I developed into a global expert in production optimization. I now apply that experience in the poultry sector. In March 2020, I developed a reporting system for a laying hen farmer, which both the farmer and their feed advisor quickly described as “perfect.” That marked the beginning of something bigger.
With the arrival of Mitchel and Simon, we are building a professional tool to make our services even more user-friendly and widely applicable. What began as a one-man operation has grown into a specialized company with three dedicated team members supporting laying hen farmers across the Netherlands and beyond.
Today, we manage 36 flocks — more than one million laying hens — in the Netherlands and Germany. We work with six different feed suppliers and deliver independent, clear, and action-oriented reports that help laying hen farmers make better decisions. Our approach is clear, practical, and results-driven — exactly what you need to move forward.
About Simon and Mitchel Beijer
We have gained experience at other companies in setting up, managing and making processes more efficient. After seeing the success of our father’s unique concept, we jointly decided to support him in his concept. We worked on streamlining, automating and making the concept scalable. This allows us to give the farmer deep insight into all his data quickly and easily. We are regularly improving our processes and where necessary we look for innovations to take care of the farmer.
